Islamic Society of Bay Ridge ISBR also known as Masjid Musab
ibn Umair, is one of the of the first few mosques not only to appear in
Brooklyn, but New York as a whole.

 

Throughout its history, Islamic Society of Bay Ridge has always had a positive
influence on the community and continues to do so until this day. It plays a
role in outreach to non-muslim individuals, organizations, politicians, and
activists.

 

Islamic Society of Bay Ridge is the spring of all Islamic activities in the
area. It has paved the way for other Islamic centers and organizations, and
continues to support provide support to those who need it.

 

Throughout its history, ISBR has been honored with a series
of prominent Imams, who have served it in a way that we believe no other
masjid or organization has witnessed. (with all due respect to the other
Imams, masjids and Islamic Centers)

 

About the Imam: Dr. Mohamed Elbar is the Vice-President of Academic Affairs
and co-founder of Manara Institute. Dr. Elbar is the Academic Dean, as well as
the Imam of Islamic Society of Bay Ridge. Furthermore, Dr. Elbar is a member
of the Tri-State Imams Council (NJ, NY, CT.), and Dr. Elbar is the former
director of the Worlds Association of Al-Ashar Graduates in the Unites States.
