Description

Botanical Garden and Eco-Park, Sitakunda is an ecopark located in Sitakunda Upazila of Chittagong, Bangladesh. This botanical garden and ecopark was established in 1998 at the foot of Chandranath Pahar. This wildlife sanctuary consists of 808.00 hectares of land.
The 1996 acre park is divided into two parts. 1,000 acres of botanical gardens and 996 acres of ecopark area. The park is an effort of the forest department to conserve biodiversity and wildlife sanctuary and tourist entertainment, with rare species of plants, thousands of eye-catching flowering plants, artificial lakes and various species of biodiversity. There are several small and big springs in Jhiripath including Suptadhara and Sahasradhara springs, picnic spots, rest camps.
